Poem Submission: "When I Look"
When I look at myself all I see is flaws
At most times they seem too tall
But when I deal with them all
It feels like I just might fall
If flaws is all I see within
Then I was never who I should have been
But if I look and see the end
In reality there is no perfect ten
They say that flaws make us all complete
But all I feel is just defeat
What happens when I feel beat?
Then I can’t take the heat
That’s when I have to stop and look
That’s when I have to read my book
But when I have stop and I felt shook
That’s when all is took
But when I just look inside
There is not enough space to hide
Then I felt like I have died
The tears I see have made me cry
But when I look through and see
Flaws is all that looking at me
But there is so much more I can be
I just need to find the key
That’s when I see all the flaws
I realize that I must stand tall
Because I can’t conquer them all
